Ami (Minase Yashiro, in her film debut) is a tough but otherwise average high school girl, trying to lead a normal life. Her world comes crashing down when her brother and his friend are killed by ruthless bullies. As Ami tracks down the ringleader, she is surprised to discover the bullies'association with a sinister ninja yakuza family. When she goes after her revenge, she soon finds herself in over her head and minus her left arm. Barely surviving, Ami escapes and seeks out shelter from two kindly garage mechanics. They take pity on her, fitting her with a high-powered machine gun where her arm used to be. She then teams up with the chainsaw-wielding mother (Asami) of her brother's slain friend and together they unleash an unholy, non-stop, over-the-top kill fest against the equally creative machinery (drill bra, flying guillotine) of their relentless ninja enemies.

'Low grade horror/slasher romp that owes as much too direct to video porn as it does to the horror genre. A vicious gang rape ending with a bowling pin being inserted into the victim leads to a night of revenge. Two groups set up a match only a secret third party named BBK joins in. Only instead of racking up points for scores the sinister bowling ball bag headed BBK racks up skulls for kills. The film tries hard to capture that halcyon slasher film period of the 80’, only it’s far to crude to work. It does have enough blood'n'guts to keep the gore hounds happy but any viewer expecting a well done plot or even a fun to watch trash-fest will be sorely let down as it offers so little. Highlights include a graphic penis slicing attack on a transsexual and a bowling ball polishing machine going wild on a guys head '

IMDB Page
Sexual angst themed horror about a girl who’s got a vagina with teeth. The story starts with Brad/Dawn a step brother/sister who share a 'show me yours and I'll show you mine' moment during a childhood play session which turns out bad for the brother Brad when he gets his finger bitten. Cut forward ten or so years and they've turned into your typical squabbling angst ridden teens only both still mentally blocking out their childhood play session memories. Brads got a sexual hang-up on pussy so takes his girls from behind leaving him more than a little angry. Dawn on the other hand as gone down the keep your virginity till your wedding night route and joined a sex is sacred movement. It all seems to be going fine enough till Dawn starts to want more from her fellow abstinent boyfriend than to hold hands. During a moment the young couple are kissing and cuddling she says stop, only he doesn’t and pays the price as her vagina bites his penis off and ultimately he bleeds to death. Upset and seeking answers Dawn goes on-line for help and reads about a European folk-tale Vagina Dentata. The story goes a woman born with a tooth lined vagina kills men seeking to pleasure themselves. Shortly after she goes to see a gynaecologist to see if he can shed some light on her problem, only during the examination she bites his fingers off. She flees from the scene to a geeky school friend who kept pestering her for dates. Only he’s not as naive as she first thought and he uses a date rape drug on her, oddly though this must relax her enough to allow her to have sex. Feeling happy that she can be somewhat normal she spends the night with him. Morning after and during sex he rings up friends telling them of his conquest, this pisses Dawn off and she bites his penis off. Now with the mindset that good or bad she’s got this ability and may as well use it for her advantage she goes home and confronts her step brother Brad who’s been pestering her for sex, it all ends bloodily with the English phrase Dogs Bollocks springing to mind. The films highly cheesy aiming more for a dark comic feel than all out horror or tension, got to be said also that at times it feels like the film makers are dragging out too thin an idea for a feature, maybe it would have worked out better in an hour long segment like a Masters of horror episode. It’s all well enough acted Dawn (Jess Weixler) comes across a lot like the new Kate Winslet. The films also got a funny use of music during Brads scenes we get heavy rock and during Dawn we get anti teen sex Christian music. I'm sure it'll get rave reviews by its teen viewers though and will fit in nicely alongside other teen angst horrors like Ginger Snaps and May.

Doomsday (2008)

Doomsday (2008)
Director: Neil Marshall
Writer: Neil Marshall
Cast: Rhona Mitra, Bob Hoskins, Sean Pertwee, Christine Tomlinson, Malcolm McDowell
Great Britain, 2007. A deadly plague, known as the "Reaper Virus," has broken out, killing hundreds of thousands in its wake. In desperation, the British Government evacuates as many survivors as it can out of the infected area, and then builds a wall, preventing the remainder from escaping. Thirty years later, with the wall still up and the victims all but forgotten, the virus breaks out again. The Government decides to send a crack team of operatives, led by Major Eden Sinclair, into the hot zone to investigate the possibility of a cure.
IMDB Page
'If any director can lay claim to being one of horrors modern masters then it’s Neil Marshall, having first won fans over with his humorous werewolf and army tale Dog Soldiers, then making arguably the best horror of the millennium so far with his mutant cave tour de force Descent. Now with his 3rd feature Doomsday Marshall oddly takes a step away from horror a little, though it’s violent and bloody enough to please his fans. The plot mixes equal parts Escape From New York, Mad Max and 28 Days Later into a tale about a virus outbreak that’s contained within the Scottish borders. Only 20 years after the virus breaks out into London, a government agency sends a team led by Eden (Rhona Mitra) back up to Scotland to find a believed cure. Problem being that without any rule for 2 decades Scotland’s turned into a massive frenzy of mutant cannibalistic tribal gangs. As a massive Marshall fan I’m kinda split over this film, on one hand it’s highly entertaining on a very take it as it comes Grindhouse trashfest level, on the other hand though its plot is muddled and very and I mean very derivative of other well known genre outings. So while viewing it your spell bound under its glossy high octane action, sadly on leaving the theatre you’ll know doubt like me get that hollow feeling of being served a very unoriginal film. Has to be said though its got several great moments like the Duran Duran style gang showpiece and the Mad Max styled race for freedom.'
