Siamese twin Pim decides to be separated from her conjoined sister Ploy, who dies in the operation. Awash with guilt, Pim moves away to Korea to begin anew with a man she loves, leaving her mother and memories behind. After settling into her life in Korea, Pim is called to return to Thailand to aid her sick mother. Back into the house where she and Ploy used to live, Pim is once again haunted by the memories of her twin, and events start getting more and more spooky as "Ploy" makes her anger known.
'The partnership behind Shutter return with another Thai horror hit, alongside the British Neil Marshall they're the best thing that's happened to the horror genre this side of the millennium. For Alone they tackle the tried and tested horror theme staple of Siamese twins, and come out on top building tension like most directors these days just fail to master. Sure we've seen alot of the plot elements before but they still manage to do so many great original scenes, best for me was the one which we see Pim walking along a beech alone then when panned away we see two sets of footsteps. Like Jeremy Irons in Dead Ringers and Margot Kidder in Sisters actress Masha Wattanapanich does a wonderful job here. Recommended one of the best horrors of 2007.'
