Anthology horror collection.

#1 The Gorge: Three friends get caved in while out exploring a gorge, after 27 days of eating only bats and rats, the two healthier members eat their dying friend. After being found they continue to crave human flesh.

#2 Sabbath Hill: A married teacher is haunted by a pupil, who commited suicide after he had an affair and got her pregnant.

#3 Dust: To help his terminally ill wife, a security guard steals a vial of dust from work, thats thought to be a potential cure for cancer. At first she seems to be cured, only things don't work as he'd hoped, and she becomes addicted to the dust.

Abysmally bad, unimaginative trilogy of tales, for the life me I wonder why Romero got involved. The first tale is a poor mans Descent rip off, seconds a flat morality tale about being haunted by guilt, the thirds a laughable 'how far can a man go to protect that which he loves' featuring moon dust and zombies. Highlight of the whole thing is the cleavage of actress Amanda Frost (who plays pregnant pupil and suicide victim Allison Knowles) , its just a shame we never actually see her topless. The gores amatuer the tension is none existant and theres zero humour throughout the entire duration, at least the worst troma offering, has gags this has nothing. I urge fans to avoid it at all costs, and urge Romero to use his name for something more worthy (which would be absoultly anything than more volumes of this garbage).

A collection of eerie tales featuring master storytellers presenting classic and original ghost stories far too scary for television.

Five spoken word stories, set in Tuesday Hill Boneyard and introduced by the graveyard creeper (Bob Jenkins).

The first "Where Have You Been, Billy Boy, Billy Boy" is written and narrated by Ralph Lucas, its the tale of a woman who one night has a nightmare about being raped by rats, only her nightmare continues as she eventually gives birth to a cross breed boy she calls Billy.

The second yarn is Sandra McLees "Mr. Fox" narrated by Laura Kay, its the tale about a woman whose never had interest from men. she eventually finds someone whose interested in her Mr Fox, only he turns out to be a lady killer.

Next up is Sandra McLees narrating her own story "Buried Alive" its the tale of a woman who has a fight with her husband, when she wakes up everyone thinks shes dead, she ends up being buried alive. Only to be dug up by the towns drunk, so he can steal her jewelry, out of revenge she pretends to haunt her husband.

Bob Jenkins tells the forth story "Hunting Werewolves for Uncle Albert" a silly tall tale about a young man who was sent out to hunt a werewolf by his uncle, only he encounters various other monsters including a space monster and Frankenstein monster.

The final tale is Sheri Emonds "Reunion" told by Maria Hayden, its the tale of a female witch being reunited with her dead former husband Jack.

Shot on video yawn fest, that might be a total hoot if your extremely stoned and into amateur stage productions. Filmed spoken word rarely works, off the top of my head I can only remember BBC's Jackanory doing it justice, but that had names like Jeremy Irons and Helena Bonham Carter behind it, you can tell the actors here, who no doubt had good intentions of bringing these stories to life, have not had much experience outside of a their bedrooms mirror. It doesn't help either that the stories are unoriginal rubbish. Why it was ever released in the first place is shocking, and why I sat through it, is quite frankly, beyond me.

Bob Fisher and his wife Linda join his crazy Christian brother Jim on a boat trip to Costa Rica where he's to become a missionary. During an harsh storm their boat capsizes forcing the three to try and survive on limited rations until they're rescued.

Pretty dull Canadian TV film based on a true story. After 72 days being capsized, eventually the boat named the Triton was found 1000 miles off the US coast. Bob was the only survivor, Linda died during the trip and Jim died weeks later in hospital.

A woman is terrorized by a maniac in her own apartment building while wearing only black lingere.

Unfairly marketed as a sexy Mexican version of a giallo/thriller, its more domestic drama that just so happens to have an hair obsessed killer among its characters. Isabella is a bored housewife, tired of the way her husband is treating her, and the fact she feels he's imprisoned her in their apartment. While on a shopping trip against her husbands wishes she strikes up a none sexual relationship with another man. As their friendship grows she needs to decide if she wants to stick in her loveless marrage or leave. Meanwhile a man living in her appartment block is going around assualting women and stealing hair samples. On the night of Isabella's decission her crazy neighbor progresses from just beating up women to killing them, when he slaughters a maid. He then turns his attention on Isabella who needs to fight for her life

Poor attempt at a thriller, offering next to none the 'terror' of its title. For most the duration the film seems purely intent on showing us how attractive its lead actress Maribel Guardia is (even getting topless a few times). Shame then that they couldn't have made her more sexy or promiscuous. Unless your seeking a marital drama I'd avoid Terror And Black Lace at all costs.

A never seen rape and revenge movie, produced by Fred Williamson.

On her first night as a taxi driver, beautiful Jenny (Catherine Hickland) picks up four young passengers who beat, rape and rob her. Unfortunately for Jenny, with the information including the phone and house number the gang stole, they continue to victimize her along with her parents. The final straw comes when Jens father (Chuck Connors) gets killed while at work. The following night Jen witnesses a violent mugging and decides enough is enough. She along with her her fellow female cab drivers form a vigilante team, hell bent on taking down the cities criminals.


Never officially released, the only available versions are 3rd generation copies taken from a pre completed workprint. Sadly the missing content includes the titles, credits, Chuck Connors death sequence and the entire Stelvio Cipriani score. What is left isn't much to shout about, the acting is emotionless more a kin to TV than feature films. The highlight for me was the scene Jen sexually lures one of the gang members to a warehouse with her friends waiting. The rape itself wasn't shown, it cuts to a blur and fades out. And theres only the hint of violence, never actually any onscreen. As racy as it gets is the odd swear word chiefly Connors calling the gang cock suckers, and a final scene when a car explodes. Its hard to judge how a finished version would have held up, but its safe to say its not in the same league as other rape revenge tales like MS.45 and Death Wish.

For their first job, two young hitmen have to kill the wife of a rich businessman at her Grandfather's house. Grandpa turns out to be a serial killer and the house is where he hides the bodies.

While on a stake out, two hit men tell each other tales to relieve the boredom. When they eventually find the location of their contract things get out of hand, because the dead start rising.

Hungarian amateur zombie nonsense, that from what I could make out, was trying to go for a Pulp Fiction meets Night of the Living Dead vibe. The film started extremely slow and was very wordy, I didn't have subtitles so not sure if the dialog was good or not. Some of the low rent gore towards the final was fun enough. At just under an hour it doesn't have enough action, shame the director didn't just release it as a 20 min short.

Euro thriller.

A model Gail Bland is ordered to travel to Egypt for a promotional job with a company named Isis Cosmetics. Soon after arriving she learns the company isn't real and that she's been summoned due to her likeness of a cults goddess named Isis. Thankfully Mrs Bland isn't on her own and she's helped by a man named Caleb, only there's more to her helpfull stranger than it seems.

Occult Italian thriller, that is no wonder to me that its been practically unseen for decades. The premise is good but there's too many pauses in its action and the central plot, not even the added spice of seeing Daniela Giordano and Krista Nell in a lesbian embrace adds enough to warrant viewing. I'm sure drug movie film fans will be slightly interested in the use of doped cigeretes. Which leads me to an interesting bit of trivia I'd found on fantastic thewildeye blog concerning two of the films cast William Berger and his then wife Carolyn Lobravico a short time after filming this during the night of August 4th in 1970 they was both arrested for hashish possession by the Neapolitan police, and sent to a criminal lunatic asylum. In the October, Carolyn had died of acute peritonitis brought on by hepatitis while still incarcerated, the government refused her medical treatment. Claiming they had thought her terrible pain was due to drug withdrawl, Berger was left in prison until March the following year. Really sad case that goes to prove the old adaj that celebrity life isn't all its cracked up to be. Anyhow to some it up Shadow Of Illusion could have been an interesting Wickerman type look at occult cultists, but sadly it never hits the nail on the head. I personally found it boring and would be hard pushed to truthfully recommend it, even to the most die hard European sleaze fan.

An anthology of five tales of terror, each originally produced for video. The titles are "Something's Fishy," "Coffee Break," "Who's There," "Jonah's Dream," and "Think Twice."

Antholgy horror yarn featuring 6 shot on video tales introduced by horror legend Vincent Price. The first story 'Something's Fishy' is about a man fishing, he see's an apple on the floor only on eating it ends up hooked on a fishing line ending up being dragged under the water. Next is 'Coffee Break' about a lost delivery man driving through a rural area named Harmony, one of the locals recommends he stop by a local coffee shop before giving him directions. The the young delivery man ignores his recommendation and ends up driving in a continous loop on the same roads. Third story is 'Who's There' about creatures escaping from a medical lab and chasing a man jogging. The fourth story is 'Jonah's Dream' featuring an unsuccessful gold prospector getting a ufo visit. The fifth tale is 'Think Twice' following an homeless man and a magical crystal, that when activated grants him his wishes. The final tale concerns the man who's been watching the shorts and features Price himself, as a sinister video host in a reality horror prank.

Light direct to video film that contains nothing an episode of Goosebumps wouldn't show. Nonetheless its always a treat seeing Price hamming it up and giving us one of his Thriller laughs, that said it only uses him for 5 or so minutes, so was most likely done for the quick pay day. Best saved if you ever find yourself in charge of a 6 year old while its raining outside.

Ken is a wandering and unassuming serial killer who enters a forsaken and empty diner during the graveyard shift. After a long conversation with the diner's lone waitress Rose, Ken kills her and promptly delivers the same fate to the diner's cook Fred. As Ken cleans up the bloody mess and deposits Rose and Fred in the walk-in freezer, company arrives. A young, unhappy married couple Rob and Kathy stop by the diner only to be followed by the arrival of Sheriff Duke Purdett. Ken now finds himself in the middle of a rousing game of cat and mouse which he manages well until the unthinkable happens. Back from the dead, Rose and Fred emerge from the freezer and start walking around! Once an unflappable serial killer, Ken now holds the young couple and wounded sheriff captive, trying frantically to escape the zombie predators.

A lone wandering young killer walks into a truckstop diner during its graveyard shift and kills the waitress and cook. Before he can dispose of the bodies the diner gets two new customers, a couple who are on the brink of separating. So the killer pretends he's running the place, which seems to work until a local sheriff whose familiar with the food joint turns up asking where everybody is, its then that they notice the once dead cook and waitress have risen from the dead and acting peculiar.

Running in at little over an hour this seems more in keeping with an episode of Amazing Stories than a typical modern horror movie. The characters are quirky enough and well enough acted but its just too tame a zombie romp that's squarely played for comic value (than say for action or chills) which for me at least, it failed to achieve as it wasn't actually funny. Not the worst zomcom out there, but there's many many more worth checking out before this.

Brace yourself... This time it's for real.

The film compiles various video diaries, following groups of survivors in the aftermath of a bird flu like virus that has hit the UK. Causing the dead rise and kill. The undead arn't the only problem as some of the survivors are going mad, doing as they please and taking what they want by any means necessary.

I'm watching this direct to video low budget English zombie yarn pretty late, having passed on the chance of viewing it years earlier due to lack of interest, I'm only seeing it now due to recently receiving a sequel. Interesting idea having you follow multiple camera weilding groups, its just a shame the locations they use are all the same bland farmyards and their surounding areas. Instead of say more populated up built places like the supermarket in Dawn Of The Dead. Zombie Diaries just hasn't the same style or substance as the similiar found footage themed zombie film [rec] or Romero's Diary Of The Dead, that said I've seen far worse zombie movies in my life (its a busy sub-genre), it was just too dull for my tastes, so would have to say Zombie Diaries is only suitable for the more undemanding zombie fans.

Trapped in a forgotten amusement park, a young woman finds herself terrorized by the living memories of the park. She must break free from the park’s grasp before she becomes its next victim.

The story concerns a micro budget film production crew who've lived near an old rundown fairground for years, knowing full well how people are suckers for such things they have the genius idea of making a goosebumps style tale but passing it off as an adult horror movie. Only due to lack of talent or an original thought manage to waste almost 2 hours of film fans time (mine included).

Well sorry about that but needed to be done, the true story is actually a great deal less interesting. Its about a young woman Kirsty being stuck in a trapped in a long closed fairground, with her mind in a constant loop of dreams and past memory's. Turns out Kirsty had lost a teddy bear at the fair when she was a kid, while she searched she met two boys that would end up in accidents that brought about their early deaths.

Some horror films test if your man enough to see it all, this one just tests your endurance to boredom. Its a turgid waste of film that if it wasn't for a few crude lines of mild sexual dialogue and a scene a clown gets a stake in his eye, would have been perfect Halloween viewing for a your 5 year old. I would have award it a Turkey score of 2, but the acting is not so bad from the three leads, especially the ghost clown. Skip it.

An American named Anthony is living and working in Tokyo and married to a Japanese woman. When their son is killed by the same driver who creates the Tetsuos in the previous films, he makes the transformation into Tetsuo.

A man named Antony is out walking down a street with his son, only while he's busy on the phone the young boy ends up being hit by a speeding car that later drives off. With the rage at losing his son mixed with iron that's accidentally entered his bloodstream, he ends up turning into a metallic android. He's now driven with the lone aim of avenging his son by going after the man responsible.

The Bullet Man is the second unsuccessful sequel to the legendary cult film Tetsuo. The first worked on a small budget as surreal cyberpunk fantasy with quick cutting interesting visuals, the Pt2 Body Hammer was very much the exact same film remade at greater cost that somehow lost its appeal and came off as bland. This 3rd entry coming decades later feels more like a parody of the series than an official entry directed Shinya Tsukamoto. Even with a running time of just over an hour I was praying for it to end, and sadly when it did end it left you with one of those 'ohh god no' they've set a future entry up.

A maker of really bad movies is showing his product. He´s rejected. He gets copies of some movies by Britain´s so-called King of Horror. There are a lot of different horror movies. One of them is a cheap zombie movie. Another features a mummy. There´s a bad vampire and awful werewolf film. In the real world, a skull masked killer is going around and murdering people. It seems to be connected to the making of a horror movie. Who could the killer be?
Slimeball producer William King rips off crap horror director Alistar Bailey, so Bailey alongside Kings secretary decide to get revenge on him and his small production team. For most the films duration the down on his luck director sits in his bedsit and spends his time sulking and and watching video nasties that poorly parody films like Hammer's Dracula, The Exorcist and Mad Max. The director then goes on a murder spree while filming the deaths for his latest stinker.

The films director Michael J. Murphy as stated he made the film as an attack on film distributers he'd had problems with, which kind of backfired because Bloodstream failed to secure a distribution deal so nobody got to see it. Its real zero budget fair from the UK, the acting is dire grade z stuff yet something about the feel and attitude kept me some what entertained and curious for its duration. Its not really recommended but if you do stumble over it and have an hour to kill theres worse junk out there, horror fans will no doubt have fun guessing some of the obvious references, I'm still puzzled why the secretary was obsessed with James Stewart but doubt I'll lose sleep over it or even remember Bloodstream in days or weeks to come.

A follow up to 2008’s Quarantine, this entry was directed by John Pogue and “picks up later that night at LAX, as passengers board a flight to Nashville. When a passenger becomes violently ill with a mysterious rabies-like virus, the plane makes an emergency landing at a large metropolitan airport. Jenny (Mercedes Masohn), a heroic yet inexperienced flight attendant, takes charge of the safety of her passengers. Relieved when a swarm of heavily equipped emergency vehicles, police units and the CDC arrive, Jenny and the passengers soon discover that they have been quarantined and are now trapped. Desperate to escape, Jenny enlists the help of one of the surviving passengers, a kindergarten teacher, Henry (Josh Cooke), to devise a plan to survive.

The story centers around the original tenant from the previous films appartment bringing contaminated rats onboard a plane. Of course the rats manage to infect a passanger and its not long before they need to make an unschedualed stop at an airport. Its not long before the infected passanger spreads the plague to others from the plane, which ends up with the terminal being locked down to curb a greater spread. Its left to the remaining uninfected to try to survive and escape.

Trite sequel to Quarantine which was in turn a remake of the fantastic Spanish zombie film [rec]. Quarantine 2 bares next to no resemblence to [rec] or its sequel, and almost none to Quarantine. The zombies are now more like sweaty plague victims than risen undead brain chompers (I guess to save on make-up fx). The action is painfully pedestrian and the plot is laughably bad for most the duration you're under the impression it was started by school hamsters. Started with an interesting setup not unlike a typical disaster movie, but rapidly spirals to pure crap. The actors seem ashamed at being involved in such a dire film yet for most part manage to do their jobs well. Really poor, I'd avoid it like the plague.

Bobby and Karen are in love. When Bobby proposed, it should have been the happiest day of their lives, but their neighbor, voodoo priestess Esmerelda, has other plans. With the help of a mystical severed head, Esmerelda plots her revenge through the eyes of a killer blow-up doll.

Plot if you can call it that follows a voodoo priestess vowing revenge after getting upset at her neighbors loud behavior. It cuts to a bachaler party the neighbors are having, three friends have hired a stipper and bought in a blow up doll for fun later. Only you guessed it the doll comes to life and starts bumping off those attending.

Zero budget film which runs in at just under an hour, so at least its over quickly. As bad as it is (and boy its bad) I can't be that hard on it because it was no doubt heaps of fun to make as revealed during the end credits when the cast are interviewed.

Before anyone gets confused, this is not the 1986 movie with the same name. This is the incredibly rare, short lived horror-anthology series that aired on Lifetime in March of 1988.

Obscure seldom seen and even less remembered Terrorvision was a short running anthology horror television show, some genre fan thankfully compiled an hour and half feature so its not become lost forever. First tale up is called 'Closet Monster' and it's your basic tale of a young boy (wearing original Tron pjamas) not getting to sleep because he thinks theres a monster in his closet, turns out hes right and it gets his mother. Second tales called 'Final Edition' and follows the tried and tested formula of a woman being stalked while shes alone in her house. Third and my favorite out of the bunch goes by the title 'The Craving'and revolves around an obese man needing dental treatment so he can get back to enjoying his food, while under anestecic he has a nightmare the dentist and assistant are vampires, the twist being when the man leaves we see the dentists name on his door as Dr A Cula. Next is 'Reflections of Murder' and follows a crooked lawyer killing his partner only he won't stay dead. The fifth's 'One of a Kind' and follows a wannabe model who gets turned into a fashion manequien by potential employees. The sixth story is entitled 'A Cold Day in July' it follows a crooked husband who decides to lock his wife and partner in a meat freezer, because he owes them money. The seventh and final tale 'Rosemary's Lot' is about a pathologist whos current case involves a cursed hand. All in all a pretty tame yet harmless bunch of tales nothing you wouldn't see these days in Goosebumps.

A team of scientists spend their waking hours investigating dreams. To fully understand the nature of the subconscious, they must induce nightmares. Unfortunately, the visions conjured up during these nightmares are manifested into reality. Like the "Id" in Forbidden Planet, the collective fears and desires of the experiment subjects must be destroyed before they´re unleashed on an unsuspecting world. A cast of energetic, moderately talented unknowns appear in this ambitious cheapie.

Strange disjointed sci-fi tale from the director of the truly dire The Forest. Plot concerns two men undergoing some underground psychological endurance test, with the aim of finding a way to mind control people. The pair find themself in a strange nightmarish world that makes little sense, citys seems to have vanished and they're being pursued by some evil presence shown only as a glowing light. Its up to the pair to find out if what they're going through is real, or are they lost in their own personal nightmare.

Real WTF movie this, so little of it made any real sense. A few of the themes seemed to for-shadow the Television show Lost like the use of an hatch and bunker, and the glowing lights seemed somewhat like the Lost islands fog monster. Its a shame in some respect that Project Nightmare never rises from its low budget origins, it looks and feels more like a mid 70's film instead of a mid 80s one. I personally didn't enjoy it that much so wouldn't recommend it. But I guess you've got to commend Don Jones this time for at least trying something different than his dire other low budget opus The Forest.
