Bug (2007)

Bug (2007)
Director: William Friedkin
Writer: Tracy Letts
A lonely waitress with a tragic past, Agnes (Judd) rooms in a run-down motel, living in fear of her abusive, recently paroled ex-husband (Connick Jr.). But when Agnes begins a tentative romance with Peter (Shannon), an eccentric, nervous drifter, she starts to feel hopeful again - until the first bugs arrive.
'Puzzled and split theatre veiwers opinions more than any other film released in 2007 this, mostly due to the fact they thought they was getting an all out horror ride mostly due to the manipulative way the original preview trailer was edited and the fact the posters all had 'from the director of Exorcist' plastered on them. What the brave ones who kept watching got was one hell of an headf'ck movie which in my opinion is Friedkins best since his flawed Silence of the Lambs style serial killer film Rampage. A film that's probably suited to DVD due to its slow start but don't let it fool you because boy does it have one frantic final'
