Straightheads is a psychological thriller about a couple that deals with being attacked by a gang by going on a violent mission of their own.
'Basically this is a throwback to the golden age of revenge films most notably Straw Dogs. Gillian Anderson smoulders as the cold city career girl whom takes a bit of rough Danny 'the geezer' Dyer to a English countryside party only for both of them to be attacked on their way back, this leaves both wanting revenge. The film never strays too far from familiar territory though for what it is, its done very well not even Dyer whom I usually can't stand is good in this. Also worth a mention is the wonderfuly sleazie Ralph 'Camberwell Carrot' Brown as one of the attackers. I'll give it a slightly higher than average rating would of got even more if Anderson had pulled the trigger. Well worth a casual nights viewing.'
