Director: John Huckert
Writers: John Huckert, John Matkowsky
When a series of brutal killings of young male hustlers awaken the police to the threat of a serial killer, rookie detective Raymond Vates and his partner, detective Tom Ellis, must battle an intolerant police department that is indifferent to what it calls 'misdemeanor killings.' Jack is the killing machine--a drifter who has come to town on the way to somewhere else--stalking the nighttime streets of L.A. seeking out the runaways and other lost souls who gather around the hot glow of Hollywood's neon underworld--leaving a wake of bodies behind him. However it seems the killer has his eyes on a bigger prize, Vates himself. On a careless whim, Vates sets himself up as the new target of the serial killer's wrath. When his stolen badge implicates him in one of the murders, Vates is suspended from the police force and must admit to a dark secret and reveal his curious relationship with the killer. Vates, now forsaken and isolated by all, must venture out to clear his name.
'Low grade crime movie about an homosexual serial killer Jack played by Malcolm Moorman think a low rent William H. Macy with a more muscular body and you’re not too far away. I enjoyed it was an easy view, nice sometimes not having to use the old grey matter. Got to give a slight warning to people who find man on man action a turn off, I'm against sexual discrimination but as a straight man it did have more than a few moments that made me feel slightly uneasy, that said no more than say an episode of 'Queer as Folk'. Had enough to keep my attention best moment was an early crime scene that showed a forensic doctor pull the end of a penis from an hookers mouth, story being she was an epileptic and had a fit while giving a blowjob, in the panic the customer tried beating her with a bottle to get her off so killed her while he died from the loss of blood from his bitten off penis. Basically it was a se7en rip-off a wiser marketing team would of called the film 'Se7en Inches'.'
