Horrifying shocker as a biological experiment goes haywire when meat-eating mutant roaches invade an island community, terrorizing a peaceful New England fishing village and hideously butchering its citizens.

'Gleefully entertaining and gory though slightly dated feeling cockroach horror from Roger Cormans concorde pictures. Small island community North Point is rocked by the disappearances of a local man and a young female vacationer. The islands sheriff has no leads other than the bloody carcass of a dog. The islands mayor sends for a scientist to examine the dog. After a few other incidents we find out that the mayor had given the scientist the right to experiment on the island. She really works for a pesticide company who've been working on making cockroaches that eat each other to save on spraying. The films got all your staple characters like a crazy pest control man, the local hobo the hero sheriff and his just returned to the Islands daughter of the mayor love interest. It was a real fave of mine in my teens sadly not aged that great but it’s still nice to see traditional FX and blood over modern soulless cgi.'
