The joy of high school graduation is shattered for Meghan when her twin sister Sophie commits suicide at a graduation party following an argument between them. Weeks later, her best friends persuade her to join them on their annual summer trip to Hawaii, their last before scattering to different colleges. Meghan is reluctant at first as the cottage in Hawaii holds too many memories of her sister, but Sophie’s boyfriend finally convinces her that it would be good for her to get away and it her sister would have wanted it that way. What should have been a fun week in a tropical paradise turns ominous as Meghan starts to feel the presence of her sister all around. When mysterious and eerie things start to occur, she is convinced here sister is trying to contact her from the dead. Slowly she convinces her friends that she is not imagining things and on the night of the summer solstice, when this world and the next are closest in harmonic convergence an apparition appears to them all from the other side, but it is not Sophie and the messages it carries will change their lives for ever.
