This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction.
'The concept is simple yet clever a Northern Alaskan town that gets no sunlight for an whole month is prayed upon by a vicious clan of vampires. Based on the comic book hit of the same name and produced by Evil Dead/Spiderman’s Sam Raimi you know it can't fail, and as long as you enjoy high action horrors it doesn’t. The blood looks awesome as it splatters on the snow and the locals fight the good fight knowing the chances of surviving an whole 30 days is tough task. After a slow buildup to introduce the towns characters (around 30 minutes), The action starts to kick in as one by one then whole groups of the local people are set upon by the vampires, who have a modern day feel and speak in their own dialog. The acting is fine and the town’s settings/locations are very atmospheric as is the drum heavy rock music. A little more back story on the vampires wouldn’t of gone a miss but pound for pound it’s the best vampire yarn since Near Dark (damn was that really 20 years ago). Comes highly recommended.'
