A young woman tries to find her injured boyfriend in a bizzare and dangerous hospital.
A group of 20 somethings accidentally run down an hospital patient and find themselves thrown into a living nightmare when they agree to have their injuries looked over in the aforementioned mercy hospital. At first it seems like a stroke of luck being given an ambulance ride after a car smash, but doesn't take long to go bad. As this hospital is run by Dr Benway who's secretly doing research to keep his cancer suffering dying wife alive. For all its gory flourishes and seedy feel its sadly a film that never rises above average actings pretty good headed by Robert Patrick as Benway and Jessica Lowndes as Emily. Just the plot seems sluggish and badly thought out at times, the medical settings are great but sadly lit like typical TV horror shows so you get bold greens and blues instead of something more fitting and subtle. Best saved for an undemanding rain soaked evening.
