Someone's Knocking at the Door (2009)
Director: Chad Ferrin
Writers: Chad Ferrin, Roham Ghodsi, Rosie Roberts
Cast: Noah Segan, Andrea Rueda, Ezra Buzzington, Elina Madison
In this genre-defying grind-house throwback, a group of drug-addled, sexually deviant medical students are systematically terrorized by Wilma and John Hopper. The Hoppers, serial murderers and rapists, mysteriously return from the 1970s, and bring horrifying psychedelia with them. With comedy, subversion, satire and true gore, the students must face escalating attacks, shocking circumstances and visceral disgust.

Just before Halloween a gang of medical students break into a hospital, find and use an experimental drug and unearth old medical records and recordings belonging to a pair of brother and sister serial killers. Only things go from bad to worse when the day after the students start to get killed off one by one. For all its flaws director Chad Ferrin along with his crew really try to do something more unusual than your standard lower budget horror flick. sure on the face of it its just a Nightmare on Elm St clone with added sex and drugs. But its Ferrins unique use of sound/music and trippy visuals that lifts this into another zone turning what would of been a run of the mill teen kill film into something much more alternative and independent feeling. Like I mentioned earlier it is a little flawed at times mostly with its pace and slightly derivative plot formula but how can the sight of a fat zombified police officer running down a corridor with a 15 by 4 inch penis not make this a worthwhile view.
