IMDB Page
Sure its aimed at the 10-13 age market but still entertaining enough for the rest of us to enjoy. Two brothers (eldest one Chris Massoglia was also good as the The Vampire's Assistant) find a trap door in their new basement that somehow becomes a portal for their greatest fears. Great to see Joe Dante back, hes best known for classics like The Howling and Gremlins. The Hole oddly feels like an extended episode of his Eerie, Indiana series. Maybe its a touch too creepy for younger kids my 10 year old didn't like the clown puppet scenes but managed to sit through them. I could also see how the ghostly girl would freak out a few people as well, I remember as a kid the child ghosts in The Amazing Mr. Blunden used to scare me. For most part though its safe scares and would be a good one to watch on Halloween.
