If you excuse the first 30 minutes or so of this movie you'll be in for a bit of a gorefest. Basic premise is a group of youths setup an illegal party in an abandoned warehouse, only while preparing the soiree they slowly get bumped off by a welding masked killer. So you guessed it originality is right out the window and like I mentioned its a slow starting film, but when the kills start there's shit loads of 'em. Characters are fun enough playing pretty much to typical party goers in movie stereotypes only with a slight punky edge, imagine Linnea Quigley era horror. The kills are pretty imaginative including a really well done beheading by garden shears, most the deaths are by the killers huge anvil hammer usually erupting in the red stuff. Slight gripe is the films too dark most the time, but its more than enough to make me eager to check out what Stacy Davidson and his FX buddies bring to the table next.
