"Thats a sweet mother fucker right there, here you'll be my bitch sweet thang"
A prisoner yelling to the kids entering his wing
Viewed as part of my Beware the Docs of March Marathon 1. Wonderfully narrated by Columbo himself Peter Falk, it follows an experimental social program, that placed young juvenile delinquents known as the Scared Straight '78 into Jerseys Rahway maximum security prison, with real hardened convicts facing life sentences.
Eye opening film that picked up the 1979 Oscar for documentary features. Its had several re-union shows since (that I'll have to see at some period) and spawned various TV offshoots. Fantastic concept that gave young going off the rails teens a sharp wake up call 'look little motherfuckers this is whatcha gonna face for years, if you continue to break the law'.
[PRFR: Personal Reasons For Remembering]
That prisons aren't full of amusing folks like Porridge's Fletcher (Ronnie Barker), they got whacked cwazy one eyed mofos who gonna rape ya till ya bleed.
