Sex, Pinkeyes and Weirdorape... Odd blend of horror and safe sex social awareness film. Lesbian Samantha gets shitfaced at a party and does the unthinkable by having a one night stand with a random guy. Only instead of contracting an STD shes picked up a virus that can't be cured by doctors, no matter how many leeches they have.
Finally caught up with this in a double header with its sequel Contracted: Phase 2. Its a neat Shivers like premise let down by dumb logic and unbelievable character reactions. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it enough, but it confused me why filmmaker Eric England played it so straight and humorless, considering how silly it was.
