The Family That Eats Soil, 2005 - ★★½
REVIEWED

Lofi Filipino lunacy thats more like a weird travelogue than a cohesive story. The films core arc centers on a family who dine on soil in tomato sauce that choppily branches off into several mini shorts including animated segments. These range from stories about racist killers, prostitutes and cock fighters. Not much makes sense especially the insanely silly subtitles, but its got an odd outsider art vibe that made it hard to hate on.
