IMDB Page
'Another After Dark Horror Festival film the plot follows three American university students whom while on a Mexican break encounter a cult doing human sacrifices’. The youngest member of the party who is there basically to lose his virginity gets kidnapped. The older two alongside a local girl they've hitched up with and a cop who’s been tracking the cult, try to stop them. Without a doubt one of the better horror fest films though whether it deserves horror status is questionable, it’s more an action thriller. That said it’s a damned fine tense ride. Great looking visually, coming across very much like Soderbergh's Traffic. Plots meant to be based on a true story and as really well done character development and good acting (I especially liked Sean Astin who delivered a darkly humorous performance as Randall the cults only north of the border member). Well worth a view.'
