Eddie's (Goss ex boy band heart throb of BROS) perfect life is shattered when he is snatched from a roadside by the armed and dangerous Jimmy (Lance 'the great, but will do any old crap for the quick buck' Henrikson), who sends Eddie at gunpoint into the Mojave desert towards a series of trials and ambushes, pursuing him as a hunter with an unknown but malevolent agenda. Always two steps ahead, Jimmy stalks, menaces and challenges his prey, breaking his spirit and his body, until hunter and hunted come face to face. At this final destination one last devastating test and a shocking revelation climax in a gruelling showdown of survival at any cost.
'I didn't want to start this micro review as another shake my fist at the Saw franchise comment, but I can't help doing as this is a pure ripoff. What Saw did for its budget you can't argue but it tempted every ten a penny independent film director into trying to emulate it. Who can blame them simple setup get a small cast, think of a lame torture to death set piece then sit back watch as the money rolls in. No other reason this or the dozens of other like for like copies exist. Its all very well shot with nice desert oranges filling the screen, the torture devices are done well best being a thirsty Goss tied naked to a cactus having either to climb its spikes or saw through it with his handcuff chains to escape. Acting likewise isn't bad Henrikson in the jigsaw style role as tormentor, ex boy bland star Goss as the hostage who's by no means the worst musician turned actor. The big problem is we've seen this done so much we honestly don't care anymore, if your anything like me you'll be screaming do it already get the kill over with. Anyhow screw it they can't come up with something new I can't be bothered speaking in any more depth about it, I mean there's fans of this kinda film so if you liked Saw 1 to whatever, Gag, Feed you may like this me I hated it. For fans of 'bug under a looking glass' cinema only.'
