Seven friends reunite at an isolated summer cabin. Archie shows up with an axe to grind and begins acting a bit strange. Suddenly he turns up missing, leaving the others to wonder whether he's coming back. The woods are a big place. Tough to find a lost pal, or see one coming.
'A friendship bonding session in a remote log cabin goes pair shaped when they start to take drugs and have casual sex. Real mixed bag this film on one hand you have lush beautiful scenery which give the film a nice glossy look all backed up with wonderful quick editing. On the other hand you have a total lack of substance and no feeling for any of its characters which is a real shame because for me at 30 minutes in it really started to drag which isn't good for a film that's 85 or so neverending minutes long. For a 1st time feature there's been alot worse even though pretty television standard I enjoyed the actors specially the ones who lose their clothes which thankfully I think least 3 of the 4 central females did. I also liked the idea of trying to make it feel like a paranoid ecstasy fueled bad trip, really gave it a headfuck edge you don't tend to get in this type of film, the films music also adds to the overall trippy feel. Shame then when I come to sum it up that for all its good intentions and good looks you wont give a damn about it and most likely hit eject before ever seeing it final twist and then credits. Me I'd shoot the script monkeys and give the director, cameraman & editor another chance'
