A young woman looks to escape her abusive life by moving to her family's farm near Atlanta. Unfortunately, she learns her place of supposed comfort offers more terrifying forms of abuse.Subtle afterdark horrorfest entry about Faith a woman fleeing the big city for a small rural town due to a broken abusive relationship. She ends up befriending a troubled farm girl Lola who's past seems to hint that shes been abused by her father, which is the reason Lola's now very attention seeking with any man she meets. For a while the pair get along well until Faith starts to snoop around the farms slaughter house and starts to dig up things about Lola's past. Hard to judge this as an horror (was a bad choice for Afterdark or any other horror festival) its more a slow burning psychological thriller that's done well until the sloppy muddled ending. The cinematography is beautiful thanks to nice rural locations and the acting is good throughout. Its just a shame it loses its 'women shouldn't be abused'/'relationships gone sour' agenda near the end for a more obvious slasher styled final which doesn't fit the rest of the movie.
