REVIEWED

A thief plunders a decadent household only the residents aren't as hospitable as they at first appear.

Simplistic 20 minute gothic yarn from Czech filmmaker Jirí Barta, thats packed with atmosphere and sinister charm. Features no dialog and sparse use of sound and shot in grainy b&w then recoloured using filters, Its also filmed in a way to give the appearance of being in stop motion. Yet another gem I've stumbled on because of other LBoxders, I seriously need to check more of Jirí Barta.

[PRFR]

Its use of nightmarish close ups of the residents faces, the bizarre gambling & bathing segment and its amusing twist ending.
