“And behold a pale horse, and his name that sat on him was Death.” - Megan (Sydney Penny) [from the Book of Revelation]

..:: Machismovision: Wow The West Was Fun - Film #8 ::..

After her gold prospecting parents camp gets ravaged, and her dogs slain. A teenager sits at the pets grave and begs for a miracle... in rides our dark hero a Preacher on a pale horse. Because the McGills are running good hard working Christian folks out of Carbon Canyon, our Preacher steps in to help stir up emotions from the females and trouble from the males, with his own unique way of teaching the the lords way.

After almost a decade later and noticeably looking older Clint Eastwood returned to the western director/actor saddle with another 18 carrot nugget of gold. More sedate than his previous cowboy roles, when it eventually kicks off its a rip roaring throwback to traditional moralistic western, and one that clearly doffs its stetson to the classic Shane (which I really need catch again). Another Eastwood movie I really enjoyed, that I vaguely remember seeing on VHS back on its release.

[Personal Reasons For Remembering]

For finally booking my plane ticket to hell by googling if Sydney Penny (who played teen Megan) had done any nude roles (*hey shes older than me in real life, I meant when she'd grown up).
