Fuck you Joe Dante & Chekov for conning me into watching a romcom... Now admittedly it was a very unique horror themed one, but still a god damn romcom all the same.
Nerdy horror buff Max is about to end his relationship with kooky green environmentalist nut Evelyn. Only she dies en route and shortly afterwards returns as a zombie, leaving Max in a dilemma because hes grown fond of a fellow horror nerd & icecream seller named Olivia.
Joe Dante throws in tons of quirky horror references and even dusts down Dick Miller (who must have been in safe storage since Gremlins 2) for us cult film buffs. But underneath its just a lackluster relationship drama that quickly losses its fizz.
