Suburban Gothic, 2014 - ★★
REVIEWED

Second film by Richard Bates jnr I've struggled to really relate with. Its a goofy supernatural comedy with an unoriginal plot about finding a necklace that was stolen from a corpse. It could have been a solid little Beetlejuice type movie, but for Bates heavy handed laboring his movies down with social statements, this time about bullying and accepting others. Sure its fun enough for what it was and will pick up a few fans, but it wasn't for me.
