I must confess to being a little late in finding out about this cult phenomenon, 8 years late in fact when its sequel got released. Its plot revolves around the hunt for Atmospherium which comes from a comet. Hunting for it are a scientist Dr. Paul Armstrong played by its writer/director Larry Blamire, then theres evil scientist Dr. Roger Fleming wonderfully played by Brian Howe who's plan is to resurrect the lost skeleton of Cadavra, thirdly are a pair of aliens Kro-Bar & Lattis who crash landed on earth, they need the Atmospherium to fuel their ship. Also along for the yarn are Paul Armstrongs wife Betty, Animala an hybrid of four woodland animals rrrawww, the local Ranger Brad and a space mutant the aliens where carrying. Its cheap and funny if you're a fan of mystery science theater 3000 and 50's b-movies in general you'll adore the creative dumbed down flick, really does have that nostalgic value of sitting in front of the TV Saturday afternoon being thrilled by cheap and cheerful monsters then safely bringing you back to safety with a smiling cast waving you farewell.
