The Book of Zombie, 2010 - ★★★
REVIEWED
I viewed this as part of the "Ultimate Zombie Feast - DVD Collection". Zombie fans will be in heaven (not that theres any room left of course) with "The Book Of Zombie", its a low budget hour long zomcom, following a Utah couples attempts to survive a Mormon strained zombie outbreak during Halloween night.
Entertaining, lively paced troma like splatter horror comedy. I enjoyed it but it failed to really deliver anything I've not seen countless times before (though, thats pretty much par for course with the whole zombie genre). Characters and actors are likable enough, the lead was pretty Ash like. Most the gags are terrible, yet the odd line made me chuckle. Really amused me that it seemed to have a recurring agenda against Mormons. Featured heaps of film centric gags, including a cute little 'Shaun of the Dead' homage, having them hang out in an English sounding name bar.
