Cheap Thrills, 2013 - ★★★

REVIEWED

"This is more like a reality gameshow... you know the gameshows they gobble animal dicks or put their heads in a bucket of snakes."

- Colin (David Koechner)

Craig Daniels loses his job and decides to hit up a bar to drink his troubles away. He hooks up with an old buddy Vince who hes not seen for years, they proceed to have an hedonistic youth capturing night. Until they bump into a wealthy partying couple Violet & Colin, who end up enticing the men into a series of progressively more outrageous dares for cash.

We've all had nights out things happen we didn't plan or expect, usually these make for the most memorable... not in Cheap Thrills case. It wickedly goes from being a 'fuck-it lets get drunk and wasted' night into a greed filled nightmare. E.L. Katz's Cheap Thrills simple enough concept of spiraling out of control dares, isn't intelligent or inventive, but its still a shit funny sick & twisted black comedy. David Koechner, Ethan Embry and Sara Paxton are all great at being totally repellent, best of all is Pat Healy as the put upon victim of their pranks.

[Personal Reasons For Remembering]

Having to think about being paid 2k to knock the back out of Sara Paxton!
