WNUF Halloween Special, 2013 - ★★½

REVIEWED

"We are standing outside the Webber house, that 20 years ago Donald Webber went mad killing his parents after supposedly consulting a possessed spirit board."

- Frank Stewart (Paul Fahrenkopf)

Witness the recently unearthed long, long, lost 1987 VHS recording of WNUF's public access stations Halloween Special. Frank Stewart's sent to do a special paranormal activity feature in an house believed to be haunted.

Good evening boils and ghouls... Chris LaMartina's 'WNUF Halloween Special' an interesting variant on BBC TV's Ghost Watch style nightly horror special, LaMartina and his team authentically capture the heady days of public access cable chans and the vhs tape trading days of the mid 80's. And actor 'Paul Fahrenkopf' nails the cheesy presenter Frank Stewart, whose been sent by WNUF's news team on a throwaway time filler story. Sadly the Halloween themed skits, done as cheesy commercial interludes, are more miss than hit. I really wanted to like it more, but its just not funny enough.

[Personal Reasons For Remembering]

Its play with drugs-play with death ad. And the Lesbian tampon ad.
