Heroin be the death of me... Yes the cast had clearly not bathed in ages and the director thanks to its gritty cinematography (which was really good) did a fine, near documentary job of capturing the hopelessly banal daily lives of street junkies. But authenticity aside, I found the experience hollow, lacking any merit or memorable performances. I personally thought the lesser acclaimed/seen actors of Animals (2014) did the same thing far better. Even though Heaven Knows What is based on real events and dedicated to one of its casualties, it sorely lacked any real hook... I guess I just don't care anymore.
