..::Selection for Hoop-tober 2.o Horror Fest::..
Slightly different spin on the age old 'family moves into a new house then supernatural things happen' story.

Though extremely BBC drama feeling 'Blackwood' was a good feature debut by director Adam Wimpenny, with some great cinematography and creepy wooden masked moments. The cast featured loads of British TV regulars who did OK. My only major issue was my ambivalence with the main character Ben played by Ed Stoppard, he felt far too cold - cheer up man, good looking wife, healthy son, beautiful home... and a face like a sack of spuds. Plus a few dull parts could have done with livening up, overall though wasn't bad. I was on the 2½-average fence for the bulk of the film, but the decent ending pushed a 3 out of me.
