"Ambition the blackest of human desires. Everyone has it, but how many act on it?" - The Producer (Louis Dezseran)

If ever an horror movie concept had potential then this is it. The core story of a wannabe starlet being swallowed up by satanic Hollywood producers is amazing. Initially builds up a promising hybrid of Kubrick's EYES WIDE SHUT's sinister rich secret society, meets Laugier's MARTYR's creepy torture cult. But the early promise wore itself out quick, making way for a painfully meandering middle, with a dull slasher segment and a cheesily executed rebirth of our star climax.

With it being partially kickstarter funded, its possible the lifeless middle was purely down to lack of funds. But whatever the reason it felt padded out. Wasn't all a letdown though Alex Essoe as our starlet was awesome, so good at whigging out, literally. I'm struggling to score this because for all it did well I ultimately didn't like it, but feels wrong to give it a below average rating. Now I understand why many people here don't rate films.
