"That guy, he saved my life. He was sent down by god to save me" - Lizzy (Kether Donohue)

I picked this for 'Scavenger Hunt 14' as a none Marvel or DC superhero film. While its a stretch labelling it a true superhero film, because our hooded vigilante doesn't have special powers. Hes still an hero of sorts, plus it initially follows a very similar formula to many of those populist comicbook blockbusters.

Undeniably television feeling at times (hell it would have actually made a cool pilot), though it progresses far less predictably than you'd think. Boy Wonders a thoroughly enjoyable DIY superhero flick, that outshines its obvious budgetary restraints. The secondary characters are all very black & white, the good guys are good and bad guys are bad. Then you get the shy, deeply broken and disillusioned boy wonder himself Sean, whose pleasantly far more puzzling. He's well played by Caleb Steinmeyer, who reminded me a little of a young Ed Norton, why he or the director haven't really made anything since is worrying.

Added bonus for me was its neat lofi soundtrack.
