Black Water (2007)Directors: David Nerlich, Andrew Traucki
Writers: David Nerlich, Andrew Traucki
Based on a true story about a man eating crocodile, Black Water is a thriller thats sounds a now familiar warning that Australia can be dangerous place for a holiday.
'Wonderful realistic crocodile film supposodly based on true events, the plots pretty much open water with a crocodile instead of sharks, but done with so much more tension and style. Based in the Mangrove Swamps of Northern Australia first time directors David Nerlich and Andrew Traucki have got to be commended for making what no other animal attack movie since jaws as managed to come close too. Cast of mostly TV actors do a sterling job also which is a nice change from the goofy characters you usually find in these kind of films. Its the second of supposedly three Croc movies to be released this year 1st being goofy but cheesly fun Primeval and the 3rd being the Wolf Creek directors Rogue, I very much doubt come year end Black Water won't be the one that triumphs over the others.'
