'After doing a micro review of Dark Knight you know the next film review or super hero film is going to be a come down so I figured I might as well say something on this lighter than light superhero flick which was one all mighty drop below Dark Knight. Woo Hoo wigedy Will Smith is back after last years yawn fest and over blown CGI heavy version of I Am Legend. And its the same family friendly ball-less romp we've come to expect from his films. Don't get me wrong he's a likeable guy and can turn in a good performance every now and then like he did in Enemy of the State, its just he's become the black Tom Hanks a Mr Safe for the masses. Plots about a fallen semi drunk superhero Hancock (named because he's forgot his name and was asked for his John Hancock so that's what he put) he's befriended by a PR man who tries to get him to clean up his act. There's a few genuinely funny moments like the head up the ass scene and the child bully, but its all so light and mostly feels like a made for disney channel movie. One character calls Hancock handjob and that for me sums it up, this films the movie equivalent of what an handjob is to sex, sure its something but leaves you feeling unfulfilled.'
