After moving into a suburban home, a couple becomes increasingly disturbed by a nightly demonic presence.I will confess to being extremely late in reviewing this due to having my fill of reality camcorder horror with the likes of Blair Witch,[Rec], Cloverfield and hell in England we even got a Big Brother zombie spin off Dead Set. So years after the release/re-release and so much hype came a rainy day & too much time on my hands I decided I'd give it a whirl, well that and the fact I'd figured I should watch it before the sequel comes out. Plots simple a young woman Katie who's had the feeling she has been followed most her life by some malevolent spirit along with her boyfriend Micah decide to film her in the hope of capturing evidence and maybe even some resolve to her situation. Slow building and well made and you've always got to throw some respect to anything that was made with such a small budget yet still manages to capture such a massive market. Sure it had the odd creepy moment & the couples likeable enough, but its trouble is like all reality entertainment & dare I say our own lives most the time its kinda dull (I mean damn seeing a couple lounge on a sofa knitting or using a laptop is not fun). For me the few brief scares did not warrant this as a worthy view and I fear I'll feel the same about its sequel, better than I'd expected but just was not for me I guess.
