Tried and tested formula about Earth being in peril due to an unforeseen alien attack. Invasion Earth Battle Los Angeles is basically Independence Day given a Call Of Duty Modern Warfare first person shooter make over.

Yes its entertaining if somewhat bland at times, the pace was fine and the CGI effects work is great the explosions are truly epic. The characters are soldier stereotypes yet the acting's good which was surprising because other than Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez I didn't recognize anyone. My main concern and my only real problem with the film was you never get a real feel of what the attacking aliens are like. This is due mainly with the combat being at such a long range and done at such speed you never get much of a close-up on their side of fighting. Best saved for those nights you just want to turn the old grey matter off and doze off with a movie.
