"Can I just look at you." - Simon (Brady Corbet)
Simon's on the edge after breaking up with his partner due to her infidelity. He goes to Paris, meets a prostitute and builds up a relationship.
In a nutshell its basically 'Pretty Woman' if Julia Roberts had carried on turning tricks and sucking cock and Richard Gere had forgotten to take his bipolar meds.
For everything it got right, chiefly the solid acting, visuals & music. It lacked the most important ingredient of all, the story. Its essentially a 2 hour character study around a man with zero personality.
[Personal Reasons For Remembering]
Mati Diop thumbing a lift to where the sun don't shine, and LCD Soundsystems excellent Dance Yrslf Clean booming out towards the end.
