Haunted Karaoke, 1997 - ★★½
REVIEWED
Two police officers follow a suspect into a karoake bar. Only its far from a typical bar. Turns out the venue burnt down years earlier and the teenage party goers are really spirits, who want the cops help in tracking down the arsonists responsible.
Downright silly supernatural comedy from CATIII master 'Billy Tang Hin-Sing' and Golden Harvest studio. Sadly this ones aimed squarly at the romantic comedy market more than horror one. To its credit It at least had enough idiosyncratic HK oddness to hold my attention for its 90 minutes. Like hopping spirits, haunted tamagotchi's and samurai masked guardian spirits.
[PRFR]
A mild comic- sex scene one of our heroes beds a cute ghost named Red Shoes (the hot Jane Chung Chun), only it cuts away and we see him by himself like hes doing a goofy rodeo.

Shot as a two-part film, the first part sets up the Gantz puzzle with explosive violence, amazingly rendered special effects, and plenty of burning questions for audiences to ponder before the story reaches its exciting conclusion in Perfect Answer. While a large part of part two is altered from the original comic for the film, part one remains mostly faithful to the source material, featuring classic battles with alien creatures like the onion-head alien and the giant Buddha statue that will leave the audience breathless. One day, Kurono Kei (Ninomiya Kazunari) reunites with childhood friend Kato Masaru (Matsuyama Kenichi) in a subway station when they both help save a man on the tracks. After the two get killed in the process, they find themselves waking up in an empty room with a black orb in the center. Soon, they figure out that the orb sends them on missions to fight strange alien creatures, and each mission can help players earn points that go towards redeeming their own life back. While the two attempt to figure out the rules of the game, Kuruno falls for fellow player Kishimoto Kei (Natsuna), who is actually in love with Kato instead.

@In an underground laboratory, a brain experiment is underway. In an abandoned coal mining area, casino creditors are being murdered. Those who inherit credit are now waiting to enter the casino.
Very gory and bizarre 70’s Taiwan-made horror-fantasy film, about a beautiful woman forced to endure the torments and tortures of going into hell and witnessing the gruesome punishments carried out there. Similar to the Japanese film JIGOKU, this shows people being sawed in half, intestines ripped out in graphic detail, eyes plucked out and put into bowls, people crushed, limbs dismembered, whippings, burnings, heads cut off, etc.!
A boy has recurrent nightmares in which a giant demon monster persecutes him. Is the monster only created by his mind or it really exist?
Turns out director Noboru Iguchi (The Machine Girl, Sukeban Boy) fills his time between bizarre theatrical projects with even more bizarre AV projects. Here's a pretty good example 'Hypertrophy Genitals Girl' (Hidai Kasei Utsuwa Shojo) stars 21-year-old adult video actress Tsubomi as a young girl who suddenly starts growing a giant dong. Shamed by gawkers and insults, the two girls become prisoners of their newly-swollen private parts. When genitals are enlarged, the pleasure doubles!
A businessman facially scarred in a laboratory fire receives psychotherapy from a psychiatrist, and obtains an amazingly lifelike mask from the doctor. Soon after being fitted for the mask, he seduces his wife and succeeds. But his wife claims she was aware all along who he was and believed that both were just masquerading together as most couples usually do in different ways. Strangely enough, his personality seemingly begins to change after he puts on the mask as if the mask has influenced his personality. His new identity does not enable him to reintegrate into society after all. A subplot is inserted in fragments. A good-natured young woman, the right side of whose face is disfigured, has been hurt by others' inquisitive eyes and insults, and has been shunned by men. She asks her older brother, the only man who understands her pain and solitude, to make love to her, hiding from him the intent of killing herself after then.
In this official sequel from Japan to the Paranomal Activity series, a girl returns to Tokyo after suffering an injury in America. She and her brother soon find that their home is being haunted.
